Inspired by the sea and the classic Breton style, this is a simple triangle shawl worked from the top down from the centre. The pattern for the main body is a one row repeat making it ideal for beginners. You will change color every two rows carrying your yarn up the side neatly. The shawl is then framed with a border of granny squares and finally reverse puff stitches.

The joining techniques used in the pattern are simple. You will join your granny square border to the shawl using a simple sl st method on the reverse side. A granny square side will align with 4 granny square clusters on the main body of the shawl making it easy to match up the pieces for joining.
